Seriously, the East end of the beach and the built area behind the beach, (also called Megali Ammos), starts more or less where the Acropolis stops, say from bus stop number 4 West.
The strip is probably over a kilometer long however, so if you are being offered accomodation in Megali Ammos, it may be 5 minutes from Papadiamantis, or it could be a long walk/couple of bus stops.
