Please make sure that you have adequate health and accident insurance before you come on your holiday.
Most package holidays will include insurance or your travel agent will arrange it for you but, should you book direct (as do many people nowadays), you will have to arrange insurance separately.

Let us hope that nothing happens to spoil your vacation here but, should that happen, you will need the benefit of good insurance to guarantee the best hospitals and the possibility to be repatriated if necessary.

There is a good HEALTH CENTRE in Skiathos, it is clearly signposted and is located above the area known as "Acropolis" and near Aghia Triada Church.
They offer immediate first aid facilities with English speaking doctors and will arrange transportation to the mainland should that be required. If so, please let them know of your insurance policy and have them contact the relevant agent.
It is always wise to have a relative or friend with you when you get involved with the Greek medical system as you may not be up to dealing with it's intricacies if you are sick or the victim of an accident.
